Audi Maintenance Tips – Autumn/Winter 2007-2008
Sure, it's easy to maintain your car in the crisp dry weather that marks fall in our region. But winter is lurking just around the corner, bringing with it fierce snow storms. Sub-zero temperatures. And heavily salted roads. Get your car ready by taking the following precautionary measures:

Create an emergency kit.
Make sure your trunk holds a small or collapsible shovel, jumper cables, a flashlight, and a blanket - just in case.

Perform routine checks.
Before the first flake falls, have your battery checked and top off coolant and all fluids to keep your car running all season long.

Put some weight on.
Add a bag of salt or sand to your trunk. The extra weight it provides will help prevent you from fishtailing when the roads are icy.

Keep it clean.
Carry an extra bottle of washer solvent in your car. With salt spray coating your windshield, you're more likely to run out of this fluid in the winter.

Talk to your pit crew.
Stop by Don Rosen Imports and have our service technicians check your tires and fluids periodically throughout the season.

Protect the outside, too.
